Tuesday 29th & Wednesday 30th April 2008

April 30, 2008

When we got back to Kabale we were still in relax mode, until we went down to Akanyijuka on Tuesday morning and the reality of us being here by ourselves hit.  It was good when there was lots of us here as things could be spread out and one could take life with a relaxed feel.  But now we are the only ones to do everything, and the only point of call, and the ones to make all the big decisions etc.

We ended up being so busy that we did not have time to buy any groceries to make dinner and had to eat out on Tuesday, and Wednesday almost turned out the same way.  We were busy making arrangements for children to have home visits starting on Thursday.  Also we were confronted with the news that Prossy has decided to leave, again, and move back to Entebbe to live with her husband.  It is good that she is doing this for her relationship, but it also means we have to try and find a new teacher and it also threw our visitation plans into chaos as we made arrangements with her being available.

Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th March 2008

March 15, 2008

On Saturday George and I went for a walk up the hill beyond our house to get a better look around.  We only got half way but the views were great, another day we will have to try to go all the way.  Kathryn and Dot walked to the White Horse Inn for a fruit platter.  Sunday, however, was the highlight of the weekend.  We took the presents that the Gap Baptist Church had sent, down to Akanyijuka and handed them out.  These were the results:dsc_8300-01.jpg

To all that have been waiting for some posts I am sorry.  The website I have been using has had a few problems, but now is ok.
