Today I headed down to the drop-in centre and Pam was there by herself, so I think she was glad I showed up. The food was late coming today so they started to get a bit roudier than normal as they were sitting around a long time not doing anything. I am starting to feel a bit for some boys in particular, Justice (11 or 12 years old) and his brother Giligan (about 8 years old), both live with their grandparent and are in serious danger of becoming street children as each day goes by. They do not go to school and are not able to be cared for properly by their grandparent.
After this we went to Akanyijuka so Erica could do some training with a new staff member we have employed and Amelia and I sat in on Kathryn’s class for a little fun. In the evening the power went out again and did not come back until the next morning. It is getting a bit annoying now with nearly everyday power out when you most want it. It makes emailing and other things, like getting a proposal together for a meeting with the LC5 chairman tomorrow, difficult.
