I said that weekends seem to be busy, but by 10:30 am this morning I felt like I had already had a very long day. Phil and I got up early for a walk to get some exercise. We walked down the hill and back up again, which is always a challenge. When we returned I realised that I had two loads of washing that needed to be done, washed and wrung out by hand. Then we walked down the hill again to meet with Pastor Edward, Pam and Eddie at Immanuel Drop-In Centre. It was good to interact with some of the street children there. As always there are some characters that everyone gets to know and there are quieter ones who need a bit more time to get to be able to talk with. Then there are the ones who do not speak much English also. We had not let them know we were coming (which was not a problem as they had said for us to drop in any time), but Edward took the opportunity to get us to share something with the boys there.
I have up loaded some photos from our time at the drop in centre on my flicker page if you want to see them. Then in the afternoon I went to Akanyijuka with Quinton & Erica, while they were doing some First Aid Training for the Matrons. While I was there I jumped in on the end of Kathryn’s class and joined in with the boys to play with the play dough, I do not think they will ever play with play dough the same again after me joining in:
