July 22, 2007Today Quinton and Erica went to a different church PAG as they have and English speaking service and thought they might have a program that Amelia might fit in, I am sure you will read about an experience they had after church on their blog. When I dropped them of I also dropped Phil down at Akanyijuka to work on the rooms again, don’t tell Pastor Gary that he missed church!!!
Church was really good today, we had 6 new people come, which almost doubled our numbers for the morning as many regulars were not there today. After church we offered to drop three boys from Kabale Secondary School home and they insisted in showing us around their school, which was pretty boring, but we thought we should as they were trying to be nice. We dropped lunch to Phil and Quinton has shown up to join in the work. I would have stayed but I had to go with Pastor Jackson to another commitment.
We went to Kigezi Cleverland Secondary School to take a service from 4-6 pm. Jackson had originally wanted me to share a message but I ended up just sharing a testimony. But it was a great time, to be with the locals in a normal setting for them, with them singing their local songs with just a local drummer is always fantastic. The passion and love they have for God is great to see. We saw 6 people give their lives to Christ!
I then went down and picked up Phil & Quinton, they had finished everything except the letters and numbers, which will be done at a later time. But here are they remaining murals that Phil designed:
